Join Chase Public for a reading from visiting poet Zena Smith! Joined by local writers Katrina Eresman, Emily Ash, and Cecilia Disque.
Zena Smith - is a poet from Cleveland, Ohio who's voice is guided primarily by the lizard brain. Her work ranges from the confessional to the surreal, usually meeting somewhere in the middle. She has published a book and chapbook respectively with GTK Press (Fracture, Take No Prisoners, Pull No Teeth) and Outlandish Press (Shake Hands). They can be found at outlandish.press
Emily Ash - is a musician, student, and activist from Cincinnati. She does not really consider herself a writer, but her prose and other musings can be found on various corners of the internet nonetheless.
Cecilia Disque - is a Cincinnati poet whose work is often messy, liberating and intimate.
Katrina Eresman - is a writer and musician with a particular affinity for certain (seemingly) unrelated things such as perfumes, Hamm's beer, and New Orleans. Her poems, like her life, tend to center around a sentimental interpretation of experiences and memories. You can find her poems self-published around Cincinnati and beyond, or catch her playing guitar at her next gig.
