Opioid abuse is a serious public health issue. Per The Department of Health and Human Services, drug overdose is the leading cause of injury death in the United States.
Join Chase Public and representatives from BrightView Health for a community discussion around the opioid epidemic. Topics of discussion will include: History and causes of the crisis, the current landscape of addiction, and what we as a community and individuals can do to work towards a healthier future.
Following the presentation and guided discussion, there will be a voluntary training on the administration of Naloxone led by Brightview staff.
All participants and attendees will be respectful and compassionate. We will be kind to one another and avoid any dehumanizing language. This is an incredibly difficult topic that has huge impact on people’s lives- we will refrain from being judgmental and we will honor and prioritize empathy above all else.
BrightView is an outpatient addiction medicine practice based on clinical best practices and outcomes measures. Through the use of medical treatment in conjunction with psychological and social services, BrightView will deliver the necessary support to help patients meet both their mental and physical goals.
Substance abuse treatment is moving into a new era and we at BrightView look to lead the way as we incorporate new technologies, therapies, and concepts into the management of our patients with substance use disorders.
Most importantly, we look forward to providing our patients with an environment and support team that helps them through one of the most challenging periods of change in their life. Together, we can discover the path to a brighter future.
